He is survived by: his father Frank Peterson; his wife Laura Peterson; his children, Kristine Petersen (Russell), Katie Nasco (Troy), Victor James Peterson (Brandi) and Joseph Peterson (Mindy); and his sisters, Pamela Clark and Jennifer Hallmann-Murphy. He is also survived by grandchildren; and 22 nieces and nephews.
