He is survived by: his wife Estella Cortez; his children, Gloria Cortez, Jose René Cortez Jr., Silvia Mortez, Daniella Cortez and Krystal Meza; and his grandchildren, Kayla Cortez, Delilah Ryan, Kyrie Cortez, Gage Mortez, Sloane Mortez and Riley Cortez. He is also survived by one brother, six sisters, and a large extended family filled with nieces, nephews.
