He is survived by: his wife Judy Platus; his children, Maria Vargas and Steve Vargas; his daughter-in-law Susan; his grandchildren, Sarah, Ellie, Ben and Sophie Vargas; his brother David Platus; his sister-in-law Sheryl Colby; and his nieces, Julie, Terry Schwartz and Nancee Schwartz. He is also survived by many other family members, friends.
