He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Michaelis and Bonita Michaelis; his sister JoAnn Manlapig; his children, Jeff and Dean Michaelis; and his grandchild Mikayla Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Michaelis; his children, Mark Michaelis (Margarita), Beth Meyer (Paul) and Pati Dowd (Eric); his grandchildren, Carl Meyer-Curtis, Karyn Meyer, Christopher Michaelis, Jack Meyer, Brandon Michaelis, Taylor Michaelis, Koda Michaelis, Trevor Michaelis, Kyra Michaelis and Avery Michaelis; and his great grandchild Elsie Michaelis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers (816 Walnut St, Red Bluff, CA 96080). A graveside service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery-Red Bluff Cemetery (600 Cemetery Ln, Red Bluff, CA 96080).
He served as the director and president of the many citrus organizations and was a Trustee of the Limoneira Foundation.
