He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Mainard Higgins and Florence Irene Higgins (Orman); his daughter Teresa A. Niemand; and his brother Verlin Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Sara E. Higgins (Miller); his daughters, Joanna L. Roche (David R. Roche) of Kenhorst and Pamela J. Higgins; his grandchildren, David M. Roche, Christopher D. Roche, Zackary Fensler, Jake Niemand, Ashley Niemand and Avery B. Higgins; his great grandchildren, Edwin Rebeiro, Timothy Roche, Mazie Roche and Brianna Roche; and his siblings, Cora Lucille Joseph of Iowa, Carol Ann Taylor of Iowa and Garry Higgins of Iowa.
