It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ferol Lee Johnston (Redding, California), who passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Ferol departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ferol may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ferol leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Morris and Ophelia Morris; her husband Jimmie Johnston; and her brothers, Theron, Chuck and Aubrey Morris.
She is survived by: her children, Ted Johnston (Cathy), Janet Coulter (Mark), John'alee Burk (Ken) and Linda Shannon (Steve); and her sister Joyce Shay Kettler (Teddy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
