Joseph Michael Hodges Obituary

Joseph was born to Betty Ruth (Burdette) and Joseph Arnold Hodges on April 27, 1950 at Memorial Hospital, Redding. He entered into eternal life on February 27, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, Redding. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, cooking, baking and mechanics. He loved spending time with his animals, friends and family. He married Judith Parnell-Blevins on May 26, 1984 and remained married until his death. He worked as a laborer all his life and was a jack of all trades. He worked in the oil fields, wrecking yard and laborers union building roads and bridges. He and Judy ran their own water truck business from 1987-2002. He retired from the Laborers union in 2010. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, brother Steven and son Robert "Bobby" Hodges. He leaves behind wife Judy, sisters Linda (Perry), Debbie (Danny), and Rhonda (Tim), daughter Alida Gonzales (Phil), son's Joseph Michael Hodges Jr., and Donvil Steven Hodges all of Claremore, OK., daughter Charlene Dunn of Shasta Lake, Ca., Stepsons Jon, Marc, and David Blevins, 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren . He will be missed by many. There will not be a service. Peace to all.
