Gerdes of Redding, California, born in Coffeyville, Kansas, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis William and Lela Gerdes (Tucker); his wife Donlieta Gerdes; his daughters, Debbie and Becky Sagart; his grandson Ben; his great grandchild Samantha Kay; and his brothers, Vernon, Arthur and Gary.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Davis (Harley) of Hinkley, CA, Pam Slaughter (Jeff) of Fremont, OH and Terri Hale of Davis, CA; his grandchildren, Candice, Robert (Bethany), Will (Lindy), Aaron, Elizabeth, Jaime (Chevas), Brittany (Branden), Amber (Marcus), Jennifer, Chris, Michele (Dalton), Isaac (Kayla) and Rhyan; his great grandchildren, Rowen of Josiah, Kai, Atlas, Caleb, Kota, Cam Cam, Bree, Piper "Peter", Clovre, Holli, Tristan and Bryce; his grandchildren, Hayleigh, Raleigh, David, Madi, Gage, Bella, Ashlynn and Elodie; and his sister Juanita "Skippy".
Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
