He is survived by: his wife Marlys Mantel (Anderson); his sister Lois Elzinga (Mantel) of Michigan; and his children, Troy Mantel of Redlands, Kelly Mantel of Redlands and Brenda Spoelstra (Douglas) of Redlands. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and next-generation cousins.
