Janina Sawczyk Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 3, 2022, at the age of 89, Janina Sawczyk (Redwood City, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Alejandra (Ukraine), Juancito, Alejandro, Wladimiro and Nadia; her brother-in-law Pablo Rizsko; her niece Ruth Loreiro; and her great-niece Micaela Riszko.
She is survived by: her husband Steven; her daughters, Nancy Dubuk (Paul) and Lilian Shevchenko (Dan); her grandsons, Nathan, Nicholas Dubuk and Ryan Shevchenko; and her siblings, Elvira Rizsko, Pedro Iwanow (Olga), Daniel Iwanow (Alicia) and Sarita Gonzalez (Ricardo). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Janina was a faithful member of Christians of Evangelical Faith church, where she participated in hospitality, choir (for a brief time), preparing and sending parcels to the needy, and the Monday evening Women's Prayer—she continued to attend until the pandemic hit in 2020.
