She was predeceased by : her former life partner Harold Sangraw; her parents, Chanh Van Nguyen and Sanh Thi Tran; and her brothers, Thanh Van Nguyen and Van Nhan Nguyen.

She is survived by : her children, Jacqueline Smith, David Smith, Jeffrey Botbyl and Nicole Botbyl; her grandchildren, Asha Smith, Alex Smith and Olivia Botbyl; and her siblings, Ngan Thi Oliver, Nguyet Thi Tracy, Mai Thu Thi Nguyen, Loan Kim Thi Nguyen, Vinh Tuan Nguyen and Phat Tan Nguy. She is also survived by her friends and family.
