He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Friesen and Winifred Bennetts Friesen; his wife Ele; and his sister Evelyn Joyce. He is survived by: his children, Mark, Steven and Andrea; his grandchildren, Hannah Friesen, Dimitris Friesen of Madison, WI and Joshua Friesen of Boston, MA; Barbara Roupp.
