It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Jean Gibson (Rescue, California), born in Metz, Lorraine, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Suzanne Marthe Speicher and Roberto José Aballay; his wife Juliann Judd (Julie); his children, Nicole Green (Quinton), Steven Gibson (Olivia) and Jennifer Corbridge (Treg); his grandchildren, Carter, Madison Green and Brooks Corbridge; his siblings, Sandra Moreland, Roberto Jr. and Adolfo Aballay; his stepsiblings, Mary, John and Richard Gibson; his niece Anecia Moreland; his great-nieces, Amaya and Mayze Moreland; and his stepfather Bill Beckers. He was also cherished by his wife, children and grandchildren.

He was later inducted into The American School Foundation Athletics Wall of Fame in 2018.

“Gibson Family my sincere condolences. Loosing a loved one is never easy and when is life is cut short it’s more difficult to deal with death. Death is an enemy to us all, taking away our most beloved ones. In John 11:11 death is compared to a peaceful sleep and just like we all awaken from sleeping, Jehovah God will wake Robert up. Acts 24:15 Jehovah God offers us the hope of the resurrection. May this hope help you endure till you are able to hold Robert in your arms again”
