She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Griffin; her parents, Ed Williams and Cleaster Williams; her son LaVelle Griffin; her grandson Shawn Griffin; and her siblings, Edwina Gulley, Delores Shull and Travis Williams.
She is survived by: her sons, Oscar Jr. and Anthony Griffin (Traci); her sister Vera Williams of Los Angeles; her great grandchild Kalia Griffin; her goddaughters, Dina McDonald and Dana Brookins; and her siblings-in-law, Zenda Johnson (Dwight), Coretta Grayson, Mamie Johnson and Edmond Johnson Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends.
