With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amelia Lanette Griffin (Richmond, California), born in El Dorado, Arkansas, who passed away on March 14, 2024 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by : her husband Oscar Griffin; her parents, Ed Williams and Cleaster Williams; her son LaVelle Griffin; her grandson Shawn Griffin; and her siblings, Edwina Gulley, Delores Shull and Travis Williams.

She is survived by : her sons, Oscar Jr. and Anthony Griffin (Traci); her sister Vera Williams of Los Angeles; her great grandchild Kalia Griffin; her goddaughters, Dina McDonald and Dana Brookins; and her siblings-in-law, Zenda Johnson (Dwight), Coretta Grayson, Mamie Johnson and Edmond Johnson Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends.
