He is survived by: his close friend April Poole; his sisters, Cathy Moses and LaTrina Knox; his nephew Melvin Russell, Jr.; his great-nephews, Leland Harrison, Jr., Rickey Ridout, Marion Hollister and David Smith, Jr.; his nieces, LaDaysha Harrison, Tyshiana Smith (David) and Maiko Johnson; his great-nieces, Le'Neishia Harrison and Dream Linda Joyce Smith; his nieces and nephews, La'Donnike and Aaron Morgan; and his aunt Cassaundra Mitchell-Owens (Missy).
