He is survived by: his children, Johnnie III Simon (Chantelle), Jontu Simon, Ed Simon, Carvonte "Tay" Simon (Lajonique), Tanisha Benjamn and Porsheana Brown; his niece Donna Dismuke Merel (Paul); his great-nieces, Alana Merel and Tieler Merel; his close friend Lonzy Barrett; and also, Dormoni Malbrough and Armonte Williams. He is also survived by grandchildren and one (1) great grandchild.
