“Mrs. Dikes was very kind to me and after her youngest daughter passed, who was my best friend, Mrs. Dikes searched for my phone number and found it and called me to tell me that Jackie had passed. That was the kindest thing a mother could do. She paused her grief just for me! Mrs. Dikes would always answer my calls when I called and she would make me laugh and I loved hearing her laugh. She was a lovely person with a beautiful voice.. Love always, Laura Washington-Ester”
