His brilliant mind opened doors in mine that I did not even know existed. We corresponded over five decades, and I cherished and have kept every one of those hand-typed letters. In them he revealed many Cold War adventures, but most of all his love for his wife, sons and grandchildren. I will always recall him with the deepest admiration. Jane Klein”
