He is survived by: his friend Dewey; his family Ridgecrest; his friends, Norm, Teri, Jim, Bill, Pete, Tim and Duane; his wife Geri Mirafuentes Hicks; his sons, Hershel G. Hicks Jr. and Joshua Hicks (Jen); his grandchildren, Ma'ila, Makoa and Kathy Hicks Walker (Jim); his nephew Paul Shepherd (Michele); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lyndsey, Tara, Malissa, Andrea and Micah; and his cousins, Frank Jones and Susan Jones.
