He is survived by: his wife Mary Alves; his sister Alda Cacilhas (João); and his daughters, Teresa Purcell (Jeff), Sherri Couchman (Greg), Lorraine Carrisosa (Derek) and Dena Chapin (Rob). He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
