He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Peterson and Helen Peterson (Edwards). He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his siblings, Richard Peterson and Barbara Elkin; his children, Brian Peterson of Arden Hills, MN and Carlene Sawyer of Riverside, CA; and his grandchildren, Katie Peterson, Jack Peterson and Shane Sawyer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Magnolia Church's "Caleb Senior Ministry".
