It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert J Alvarez (Riverside, California), who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sabina Alvarez and Salvador Alvarez; his wife Mary Quijada; his brothers, Arthur, Abelardo, Alfred, Alfonso, Adolfo and Alejandro; and his daughter Grace.
He is survived by: his brother Hector; his children, Eleanor (Fred), Arlene, Gilbert (Elizabeth), Salvador (Debby) and George (Joanne); and his grandchildren, Anthony (Angie), Nicole (Brian), Sherrie (Jay), Cristina (Andy), Rico (Rachel), Christian, Timothy, Christopher (Adrianna), Nicholas, Ashely, Alyssa and Amanda (Evan). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 5, great-great grandchildren.
