Laura Lavonne Douthit Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Lavonne Douthit (Riverside, California), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sharon Morris and Charles Emmett Morris; her stepfather Michael Burgert Sr.; and her brother Charles Morris. She is survived by: her husband William Douthit; her siblings, Kenneth Morris (Sharon), Michael Burgert Jr. and Michele Nguyen (Minh); and her children, Lance Fookes (Shannelle), Nicholas Fookes and Candace Douthit. She is also survived by many cousins, three nieces, and one nephew.

She was generous to a fault and was willing to give anything to those she loved, even if she could not afford it, and even if it meant donating a piece of herself- literally- to save someone.
