She is survived by: her children, Mia Day-Butler and Miracleous Owens; her grandsons, Tyler Beaman and Jaden Butler; her siblings, Hyles Owens, Eric Owens (Mahani) and Andre Owens; and her nephews, Denerr Thomas and Kamal Owens.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her name to WomenHeart.
