He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Clayton Collier and Willa Mae (Hale). He is survived by: his spouse Chuh Wah; his sons, Richard Cunningham Jr. (Mary), Robert Cunningham (Melissa) and Andrew Cunningham (Caroline); and his brother Gary Cunningham (Brenda). He is also survived by five Grandchildren.

In lieu of Flowers, Richard asked that everyone support their favorite charity.
