Robert Edward Driscoll Obituary
Robert “Bob” Edward Driscoll. 72, of Yucca Valley, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 21, 2017, in Palm Springs, Ca. Born in Whitman, Massachusetts September 6, 1945 to the late Eustace and Mary Driscoll, he lived most of his life in Southern California.
Bob was an incredibly intelligent man who knew a little bit about everything! In his spare time he enjoyed reading magazines, watching movies and spending time with family.
Bob served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in High Wycombe, England, where he met his former wife and friend Sheila Smith. In 1977, Bob and his family moved to San Bernardino, California where he served out of Norton Air Force Base. He also worked for Rohr Industries in Riverside, California and Ethel M Chocolates in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bob is survived by his three children; Donna Straw of Hilo, Hawaii, Daniel Driscoll of Yucca Valley, California and Sean Driscoll of Corona, California. He is also survived by his oldest sister Deanne Flint of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, as well as numerous beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Ellen Caswell of Parumph, Nevada.
A memorial service will be held honoring Bob on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:45 am at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, Ca 92518. Family and friends are welcome.
