He is survived by: his wife Phillis Coots; his children, Melvin "Fred" (Elisabeth), Edward (Carmon), Jennette (Ken Richmond), Dennis Cotter and Valerie (Rick Koch); his siblings, Cecil (Susan) and Jane Carney; and his great grandchild Gene.
