He was predeceased by : his parents, Margie Jean (Lawson) and Richard Gates. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Gates of Pine Grove, CA; his sons, Mathew Gates (Felicia) of Pioneer, CA and Justin Gates (Silvia); his siblings, Pat Farrell of New Mexico, Barbara Syke of Florida and Jeff Harbin of Antioch, CA; and his grandchildren, ChyAnn, Priscilla and Gianna.
