He was predeceased by: his wife Dora Anderson; and his grandson Daniel Tomas Sims. He is survived by: his children, Mary Sims, Beverly Patton (Roger) and Teresa Rice (David); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Cothran, Sherry Raabe (Greg), Gene Patton (Colleen), Jenny Wood (Dean), Elise Rice Curtis (Joe) and Meghan Rice.
