It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert John Gallardo of Sacramento, California, who passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret T. Gallardo; and his close friend Catherine McCormick. He is survived by: his children, Albert Jr., Susan and Julie; his children-in-law, Cathleen, Mark Freitas and Russell Ost; his grandchildren, Nicholas Gallardo, Caitlin Gallardo (Omar Sebti), Elyse Freitas (Beth Tweedy), Nina Freitas (Robert Cote), Emily and Michael Ost; and his great grandchildren, Cyrus Sebti and Alanna Freitas.
Al had many interests; if you would like to commemorate him, donations may be made to the Sacramento Railroad Museum, American River Parkway Foundation, or Jesuit or Christian Brothers High Schools.
