Jerry Flint wrote a sympathy message

“It is with intense sorrow we offer our sincere condolences to the family of our long time friend, Alfred W Stone, (Stoney). Our friendship began in 1959. Stoney and I were roommates in Germany serving in the A F Our lives were parallel in many ways. We share the same date of birth and middle name. I am reminded of a quote of General George S. Patton, “It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men that died, rather we should thank God that they lived”. RIP our valued friend. Jerry & Reiny Flint”
