It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Howell Jr. in Sacramento, California, who passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Anthony Wayne Howell; his parents, Andrew and Gracie Mae Jones; and his siblings, J. W. Howell, Lucy Mae Howell, Murlene Young and Bertha Lee Howell Young.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lynda Howell and Vivian Howell of California; and his sisters, Barbara Moody of Idaho and Rubye Walker of California. He is also survived by three Great Grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.

“What a wonderful person and a friend. Andrew and I met in Oklahoma City a number of years ago over a cold drink. He was in Oklahoma for a family reunion. Though we only met up for a couple of days and maybe 6-8 hours, we were soul mates. We shared life's lessons and an abundance of laughter with ourselves and a waitress or two. Priceless. We stayed in touch through the years and he shared his health issues the past couple of years. We last corresponded in May 2025. What a treasure!!! Love you”
