He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks Crutcher and Oscaree Tugger; and his siblings, Lacey Crutcher, Janice, Massey, James Crutcher (Skeeter), Eugene Crutcher, Alta May, Judy Ann Crutcher and Aaron Crutcher.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Crutcher; and his children, Susan Jones (Crutcher), Alyasha Lam (Crutcher), Robert Elder Jr., Victor Amey, Joey Elder, Tony Elder, Stanley Elder, Gary Elder and Lorna Kodama (Elder). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
