We are sad to announce that on August 18, 2025, at the age of 92, Ida Irene Walter of Sacramento, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ida departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ida may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ida leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aril Carpenter and Claudia Carpenter; her husband Bernard Walter of Salinas; and her daughters, Gail Harper of Sacramento and Sandra Gonzales of San Francisco.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony Fuller of Salinas, Steven Fuller of Murfreesboro, TN., David Blankenship (Stacey) of Sacramento, Jeff Blankenship of Clearlake and Michael Walter of Sacramento. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
