“Jim was a good friend during the 1990's when we worked together at KCBS Newsradio in San Francisco. A U.S. Marine, Jim had a zest for life and shared his legacy from Stanford University, whose sports we broadcast on KCBS during his tenure at the radio station. From Jim I learned a lot about golf and Stanford's unique sports and campus culture. His sense of humor, toughness and enthusiasm for sports culture was infectious and inspirational. I think of him often, even today.”
