He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd and Gladys; his stepmother Sonya; and his sister Janet Schepps. He is survived by: his sister Anne; his stepsisters, Sandra and Lee; his nephew Bryan; and his pets, Lilly, Baby and Little.

In lieu of flowers, John requested that donations be made instead to the SPCA to help animals in our community.
