John Hunter D. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Hunter D. in Sacramento, California, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 29, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bianca Hunter and John Hunter; and his uncle Vincent Pace. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Eva Escobedo; his sister Carole Engh (Mac); his mother-in-law Maria Escobedo; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Escobedo, Martha Escobedo, Bertha Price (Mike), Cristina Harder (Dan) and Albert Escobedo (Kelly); and his pets, Levi and Baxter. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.

He was loved and well-respected by his numerous colleagues, both locally and around the country, for his knowledge and contributions to his field.
