He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Johnson and Eunice Johnson; and his sisters, Linda Thiessen and Rita Anderson. He is survived by: his nieces, Jennifer Freamon, Nora Anderson, Mariah Addams and Tiffany Allen; and his nephew Todd Thiessen. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
