She was predeceased by: her parents, John Asher Ruggs and Lois Geraldine Murrey; and her brothers, Bob and Jack Ruggs. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry John Cowee; her son Eric John Cowee (Margo Cowee); her granddaughter Sarah Jane Cowee (Mary Anne Paget); and her great-niece Ellie Paget.
