It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Britton Barbre (Sacramento, California), born in El Campo, Texas, who passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Marvin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marvin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albertha Waligura Barbre Goree (Marion David Barbre Jr.) and Britt; his siblings, Ronald David Barbre and Barbra Jane Barbre; and his stepfather Bowen H. Goree.

He is survived by: his brother Allen Roy Barbre of Wharton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
