With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J. Mankin of Sacramento, California, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Joan Mankin of Effingham, Illinois. and Hubert L. Mankin; and his brother-in-law Fred Dow of Hobart, Indiana.. He is survived by: his wife Millie Bortin of Sacramento, California; and his siblings, Marcia Dow of Hobart, Indiana and Mark. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Ballard Nature Center, at 5253 East U.S. Highway 40, Altamont, Illinois 62411.
