Charlie Mackall wrote a sympathy message

“Michael and Anita were our next door neighbors at West Point. They were close friends of ours, and it was Michael's suggestion that opened my path to the Catholic faith. We met again, years later, in Sacramento, and had a lovely dinner with Mikael and Lisa. I admired Michael for his integrity, and he had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of taking life in stride. I will miss him. Charlie Mackall, US Army retired.”
