Monty C. Johnson Obituary

The memory of Monty C. Johnson (Sacramento, California), who passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Monty may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Herring and Mont Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Swanson; his children, Joe, Sabina Johnson Holesinger, Dor-Renée Jakobson and Joseph Johnson; and his sisters, Dennise Swanson and Susan Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by five granddaughters, four grandsons, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Together, they moved to Sacramento, where Monty's contributions to the community and the Unification movement became a cornerstone of his life.
