Owen Dean Bigler Obituary
Owen Dean Bigler passed away in the early hours of Monday, March 9th with his family by his side, in Sacramento, California. He is survived by his three children, Christopher Shane Bigler, Shannah Marie Voskes and Andrew Dean Bigler; his siblings, Kathy Grant, John Grant, Michael Grant, Frances Duclos, Cindy Gallegos, Donald Watson, and Theresa Shandley; and his grandchildren, Adam Bigler, Tayanna Voskes, Kaylee Voskes and Robert Killin-Bigler. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rusty Watson. Dean was a coin collector, an avid sports fan, and ran his own successful concrete business for more than 30 years, but above all, he loved his family. He took his role as Papa to his four grandchildren very seriously and doted on them every chance he got. Despite living on a fixed income, Dean was always the first to reach out a helping hand, whether it was helping pay for unexpected car trouble, or buying that extravagant gift on a grandchild’s wishlist. He was always there to help navigate life’s obstacles and make sure his loved ones were always happy and healthy. In recent years, he faced many serious health issues that led to severe physical limitations which made it very difficult for him to maneuver around town, let alone across soccer fields. Nonetheless, Dean attended as many of his grandkid’s sporting events as possible, and never missed one of their theater productions. Dean is loved and missed by everyone who ever knew him.
