He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Johnston; and his brother Jim Johnston. He is survived by: his son Eric Johnston; his mother Doris Johnston (Snell); his siblings, Margaret Morningstar, Vince Johnston (Kelly) and Tom Johnston (Miyoko); his niece Jennifer Johnston; and his nephews, Phillip Jeremy, Nick and James Johnston. He is also survived by 5 great nephews and 4 great nieces, 1 great great niece, many cousins and friends.
