He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Buhler and O. Wayne Day, Sr.; his daughter Amla; his stepdaughter Brianna; his brother Ivan; Bonnie and Jewel.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Bowns; his children, Amron (Leslie), Leeman (Marjean), Nathaniel (Valerie), Shane (Jennifer), Melanie Roberts (Jon), Kenra Gill (Shaun) and Carolani Green (Mathew); his stepchildren, Dania Smith (Quin) and Keely Dorran; and his siblings, Orville, Karen Carbajal, Paul, Clark, Ruth Huish, Joy Ruff, Lynn and Eugene. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
