He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicolasa Ortega Hernandez and Canuto Renteria Villicaña; and his brothers, Antonio Renteria Ortega, Jose Renteria Ortega and Mario Renteria Ortega.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Sanchez Vazquez; his children, Mariela Renteria of El Centro, Lupita Renteria-Galvan (Antonio) of Salinas, Agustin "Augie" Renteria Jr. of Salinas and Veronica Reyes (John) of Morgan Hill; his sister Maria Valentina Renteria Ortega (Michoacan) of Villa Morelos; and his caregiver Monica Orozco. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
