It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Francis Monteith of Salinas, California, born in Haxtun, Colorado, who passed away on August 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Monteith and Alice Monteith; and his children, Michelle and David. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Monteith; his children, Paula Haro (Stephen Doolittle) and Joseph Monteith (Leslie Monteith); his siblings, Robert Monteith and Joy Lousberg; his grandchildren, Nina Haro-Cordero (Nathan Cordero), Matthew Haro (Summer Haro), Sam and Rachel Monteith; and his great grandchildren, Paul, Mia, Ella, Clara Cordero, Evelyn, Tristan and Killian Haro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a memorial fund set up in honor of Charles at Golden 1 Credit Union Salinas. Donations will be used to offer educational scholarships.
