It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma Suarez of Salinas, California, who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margarita Arriaga and Aurelio Suarez; her husband Miguel Almanza; and her daughter Diana Almanza. She is survived by: her children, Gema, Veronica (Vern), Francisco (Frank), Bernice, Miguel, Cesar, Marciela and Elizabeth (Lisa). She is also survived by her kids, grandkids.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Struve and Laporte Funeral Chapel (41 W San Luis St, Salinas, CA 93901). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church (11140 Preston St, Castroville, CA 95012). A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA 93907).
