It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Duffy Dalton (Salinas, California), who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph and Mary Duffy; her husband William James Dalton; her sons, Bill, Joe, David, John and Donald (Laura); and her daughters-in-law, Mary (Bill) and Judy (Joe).

“Helen and I shared a portable classroom for many years at Alisal High as resource specialists. She trained me in the complicated task of writing IEPs always with patience and kindness. She was a wonderful mentor to me and an amazing teacher. Her students always came before her own comfort and I remember her using her nebulizer in her office during break time instead of resting at home. She was a wonderful friend and I will miss her dearly. My condolences, Linda Kingsley”
